Day 15… finally. Stitches came out. So it was a combination of glue, nylon stitches and dissolvable stitches.
The experience was pleasant and quick largely due to Hannah the nurse and Dr Alam of course.
Ngl; the last stitch to come out was the ouchie moment. But as soon as it was out; a sense of relief was felt. For the first time in ages; I can begin to massage my knee and get patella mobilisation going to help the joint fluid go.
Ive also been recommended a gua sha by the a family member which will indeed help with removing the fluid build up. She suggested oil to assist.
The steri strips are on for a few days then advised to let the incision points breath.
Now I think once the fluid goes and the internal pressure under the knee cap begins to dissappear; I’ll be able to press ahead with more flexion. I did a crude measurement on weekend and I think im at 100.

So now we continue with phase 1.5 of rehab. Ill begin to throw in therapuetic ultrasound 1ghz and 3ghz to further aid tissue swelling and fluid movement.
